Tijuana to Haiti - Tomorrow!

Well, I (Lyndsay) am packing today and catching the first of a series of flights to Haiti tomorrow! As I started to throw my camera in the bag I thought I it might be a good idea to empty the memory card so that there's plenty of room. In doing so, I found some pictures I wanted to share to give you a little glimpse into the last few weeks of our time in TJ.
First, the Super Bowl. As we were given a TV after inheriting free cable from our landlord, we were informed by our students and staff that we would be hosting a Super Bowl Party :). It was a lot of fun, with lots of especially yummy food. Here's a few pics of staff and students enjoying the Saints vs. Colts...

Not long after the super bowl was Valentine's Day. A special Valentine's Tea was held at our house for all of the Baja Bible School ladies. We had a great time and a - bonus - I got to use my cake stand!

And finally a picture of Dan hard at work. This is actually a big part of his job - discipling and mentoring the male students at Baja Bible School. We often have guys over to spend a night away from campus or come for breakfast or coffee. It's a really fun part of the job (as are Super Bowl Parties and Valentine's Teas).

I remember the best chocolate birthday cake I ever had being served on that cake serving dish way back in early 2007 in Hawaii! And that pic of Dan in the chair is hilarious--that guy is always cold!
