Please pray that the flights would line up and we would be able to get into Haiti on Sunday as quickly and easily. Please also pray that we would be able to get to Hinche, the city we will be working out of, as soon as possible so that we can maximize our time with those who need medical attention there and in the surrounding villages.
Thanks so much to all of you who have already been praying, to those of you who have given financially, for the notes and emails, and for the other little things some of you have done to encourage us more than you know.
I received an update from a team-member who went on an earlier trip with the same organization. Here's a little of what he said...
Since arriving in Haiti we have seen over 400 patients in two of our regular villages and our compound. We have taken care of patients that were injured from the earthquake at every village we went to. On Feb. 10th we were able to go to a refuge camp for people displaced by the earthquake from PAP. When we arrived we witnessed a prayer meeting ...the emotional and spiritual pain that the people were expressing was enough to bring tears to anyone. In spite of all their loss they were still able to sing “All hail the power of Jesus’ Name ...What a testimony from the ones that are suffering. We have been taught much from our brothers and sisters in Haiti ...[Afterward we] attended to all their health needs working out of the tailgate of our trucks. Unlike our other clinics, we dealt a lot more with emotional stress from the aftermath of the earthquake. What a privilege it was for us to be able to minister to them in the little way that we did. God is so good to us.
Again, thank you. Please continue to pray. We'll let you know when Lyndsay is able to leave and post updates once she's on the ground in Haiti.
