- picking up a bunch of antibiotics here in Mexico (available without a prescription) and praying they would let us over the border with the small quantities we had (enough to treat maybe 30 people)
- going to REI in Chula Vista to buy a mosquito net for Lyndsay
- getting huge quantities of triple antibiotic ointment and pain-killers at Walmart
- dropping by the Mexico Medical Ministries warehouse to pick up their generous donation of gauze and suture kits.
At the end of the errands we were able to pack an entire large suitcase full of medical supplies - about 70 lbs!
We don't know how much Lyndsay will be able to communicate from Haiti over the next 12 days, but I'll keep you updated as I get updates. I heard from her very early this morning - she called from Florida as they were boarding the plane to Port-au-Prince.
More to come soon, God willing.
